To Friends in Faith (2)

One's life ended
Another extended
Why one to live
The other to die.

Takes one more breath
God to create today
The other lies still and gray.

We live to die
Fill a vacuum with dreams
Here, there, nowhere.
Dreams beyond the pain
Where work the only gain
To run the world
Vain in gain.

Now our only wait to write and remember
To get well or die.
Still life goes on
But why?

I fill my space uselessly
Stuff myself to fill each day
Use my time and worldly wealth
Consume too much too much.

Death leaves the space we fill
So two more men come to live
Where there was room for one before
Less clean, more toxic, too many

Our legacy - use more, use more
