I give thanks this day
For all the things I love,
For wind and water, trees so green,
And skies so blue above.
 
Especially for my mother 
Who helps find the way.
For unselfish love she shares
Each and every day.
 
I have so much of things I love
Family, children, friends,
I want to bubble over
And fill my cup again.
 
Let me find the pathway
Of living love right now,
Then help lead all others
To love and peace somehow.
 
If all were like my mother
There'd be no need for greed.
We'd all drink from the same full cup
and live in love indeed.
